Dear Friend of Girls Inc. of the Island City,

Thanks to the generous and enthusiastic support of our sponsors, attendees, donors, and volunteers, we had an incredibly empowering and inspirational Hats Off to Women Who Dare luncheon at the gorgeous Oakland Scottish Rite Center on March 18th, 2017. Because of you, we raised over $100,000 to support innovative and transformative programs that inspire girls to be strong (healthy), smart (educated), andbold (independent).

A special shout out to our hardworking and dedicated Board, Women Who Dare Committee, and staff who helped make Women Who Dare 2017, the most successful luncheon to date. We also want to thank Oakland Scottish Rite Center, Checkers Catering, KTVU Fox 2 emcee Alyana Gomez, Douglas Parking, Dandelion Flower Shop, and Auctioneer, DawnMarie Kotsonis.

Hats Off to our major sponsors AEC Living, Kaiser Permanente, Salesforce.org, Alameda Hospital, Cool Safety, The Felts Family, Kane & Associates Realtors, Lauren Kelley and Family, Fox 2 KTVU, and Shum Financial Group.  All of our sponsors appear on the right margin. Please support these individuals and organizations who not only contribute to Girls Inc. of the Island City, but also provide time, talent, and treasure to so many local and East Bay youth and communities.

Congratulations again to these exceptional girls, teens, and women who rocked the house and demonstrated strong, smart, and bold in so many remarkable and diverse ways:
