BE A CHAMPION FOR WOMEN WHO DARE

Girls Inc. of the Island City serves girls and gender-expansive youth in Alameda. Through advocacy and direct services, we equip participants with the knowledge and skills to create positive change in their lives and become the leaders our world needs. We provide mentorship, safe spaces, and programming that address the unique challenges girls face—helping them build the confidence, skills, and resilience to succeed. Our programs empower participants to advocate for policies that break down social and systemic barriers to their success. The Women Who Dare Gala aims to raise $80,000 to directly support programs such as:

  • Scholarships for after-school care and summer camps.

  • STEM program upgrades to enhance learning.

  • Leadership development, teen programs, BFF (Best Foot Forward), and GEMS (Girls Empowerment Mentoring & Support).
